The BHS Band is eagerly anticipating the visit of Dr. Jack Eaddy, Associate Director of Bands at the University of Georgia, scheduled for Thursday. Dr. Eaddy brings an impressive wealth of experience and knowledge, and we are thrilled that he will be sharing these insights with our students. During his visit, he will engage directly with both the BHS Concert Band and Symphonic Band, allowing students the invaluable opportunity to learn from his extensive expertise.
Dr. Eaddy's presence will not only enhance our students' musical skills but also inspire them to pursue excellence in their performances. In addition to his work with the bands, Dr. Eaddy will be available to discuss various topics with students, including scholarship opportunities, collegiate-level performances, and career pathways in music.
This exceptional opportunity has been made possible through the generous support of the Decatur County Schools Foundation Grant, to whom we extend our heartfelt gratitude. We are confident that Dr. Eaddy's visit will leave a lasting impact on our students, motivating them to reach new heights in their musical journeys.

Students and Fans,
I want to take a moment to address what occurred at last night’s boys basketball game.
Let me be very clear. Fighting is never acceptable and will never be condoned. Our expectation is that all students and spectators demonstrate sportsmanship, self control, and respect at all times, regardless of the situation or emotions involved.
I do want to acknowledge and appreciate the many students and fans who chose to step back, remain calm, and allow school officials and school police officers to handle the situation appropriately. By showing restraint and good sportsmanship, you helped prevent the incident from escalating further and allowed it to be addressed quickly and safely.
Sportsmanship is not just about how we act when things are going well. It is most evident in moments of frustration or tension. Choosing to trust school officials and school police officers and handle adversity the right way reflects positively on our school and on you as individuals.
This is Bearcat pride in action. It is how we support our teams, represent our school, and show the community who we are, even in challenging moments.
We will continue to hold high expectations for behavior at all school events, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and positive environment.
Thank you for supporting our students, our teams, and our school the right way.
Sincerely,
Christopher Bryant
